80CrV2 core with damast cladding and desert ironwood handle

This chef's knife has an 80CrV2 core wrapped in damast cladding. The pattern only shows itself once the blade is etched, so I never know exactly what I will get, and the swirls on this one came out better than I hoped.

The handle is desert ironwood, an octagonal shape that sits well in a pinch grip. The wood is dense and takes a polish that looks wet even when it is dry. A thin brass spacer sits between wood and steel. No two handles match.

Hand wash and dry immediately to prevent moisture damage. Regular sharpening and oiling of the handle are recommended to maintain optimal performance.
