A walnut cracker forged from steel. Two arms are joined by a rivet, and the serrated jaws sit close to the pivot, which gives you plenty of leverage for hard shells. The finish is dark and blackened.
Put the nut between the jaws and squeeze. The shell cracks open and the nut usually comes out in big pieces.
Wipe clean with a cloth. Walnut oil on the steel helps keep rust away.
