A rocking pizza knife forged by hand in Groningen from leaf spring steel, a carbon steel made for vehicle suspension springs. The blade is curved and has a handle at each end. You rock it through the pizza with a hand on each handle and cut through in one sweep. I brush the steel clean, then burn beeswax onto it. That gives the black finish. I stamped the year into one handle. A hole in the blade lets you hang the knife up, so the edge doesn't get blunted in a drawer.
Care
Wash by hand and dry straight away. A thin coat of mineral oil keeps it from rusting.
